Killing the monsters

Part I – MONSTERS EATING MY TIME

My uncle, he’s extremely great. Built up a construction company from nothing, no skills, no money right after getting married in 1987. There was no definition of Startup like we have nowadays, no investors, no communities neither co-working spaces. I’ve been spending time with him for last 12 years and that has been a worthiest class ever.

Back to our journey that we were talking about how to archive more by doing less. Before using the power of money to help us, we need to know the right way dealing with them.

Bottlenecks, we CAN’T kill it.

Actually, I shouldn’t kill it. I would be stuck with it for whole my business at least. But what should be allowed to go through that neck? The root reason lead to the bottlenecks is about right and abilities.

First, your Right to do things. Your right to be able to sign the contract, to be presented at the bank, to be able to make the specific decisions, etc.., to solve all of them, must be you. But, actually it people realized it a long time ago. So, to reduce the workload that needs my right, I set up a list of delegators. Delegator has full of my right to make one or a few decision without asking me, he has the right to do but I have the right to rollback it, otherwise, that will be a valid command. Setting up my delegators, I can control the bottlenecks.

We shouldn’t kill and you won’t be able to kill the Bottlenecks because of the seconds, your delegators are Human. A human might do right once, twice but cannot do it forever, human changes, emotional. So, keep the Power Switch in hand.

Third one, Abilities. You need to solve everything because of you are the one has the abilities to do, that is not your fault but it could be changed. Don’t solve it alone, at least, after you solved it, let put an explanation as a legacy to show “what’s the problem, how did you solve it?” beside with training your co-mate. The more people that have abilities that you’ve created, the more time you can save later.
